FULL TIME: Transportation Department Transit Operations Manager
SALARY: $4,193.33 monthly

The City of Murfreesboro is seeking applicants for a full time Operations/Procurement Manager. Duties include managing the operations of a small urban fixed route nine vehicle fleet. The fixed route operation utilizes six buses to operate an eight route system. Management responsibilities will include supervising of an approximately 15 person operations office, bus maintenance oversight, customer service issues and oversight and procurement of capital and equipment utilizing Federal Transit Administration Policies and Procedures to include bid and contracting processes.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in public administration, business, transportation, or related fields. College requirement may be waived with six or more years of relevant experience including Federal Transit Administration capital procurement procedures. A minimum of three years experience in public transit management is required and five years experience in public transit operations is preferred.
